COVER THEM IN

YOUR PRAYER

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth."

1 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)

Reflection:

Do you cover your loved ones in prayer?

(Why or why not?)

Praying for your loved ones helps you put them in God’s hands, not only during a crisis, but in everyday situations as well.

Paul said In 1 Thessalonians 5:17

"Pray without ceasing."

Besides your own prayers for them, join with a prayer partner. Two close, faithful prayer partners have been a great source of strength to Diana; one lives 250 miles away, but once a week at 6:15 in the morning they meet on their laptops for a powerful time of praying together. If possible, link up with another friend who has walked with God as they faced adversity in their lives.

These individuals can become real prayer warriors!

Paul urged the young Timothy to intercede in prayer in

1 Timothy 2:1

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men."

Prayer networks are also important when there are ongoing needs or crises like the Pandemic we experienced today. Their local church and Diana’s Bible study group has been part of that network to support her in prayer. They also developed an electronic prayer network where they share prayer requests and praises with hundreds of friends and family here and around the world through e-mail. This enabled them to send on-the-spot requests as they walk through some of the most challenging of times. Fear is banished and peace fills Diana’s heart.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for reminding me that distance is not hindrance to help others. Help me to be faithful intercessor to those who are weakened by the crisis, and lead me to those who lost their ways and bring them back to You in prayer. Use me Lord for this ministry. I pray to You, in Jesus Name, Amen.
