Galatians 4:7 (KJV)
"Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son,
then an heir of God through Christ."
Reflection:

As you consider the importance of your spiritual identity and the spiritual identity of your children, meditate on these passages:
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16/KJV).

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:26-27/KJV).

“And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:6-7/KJV).

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10/KJV).
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (1 John 3:1-3/KJV).

Only those who received Jesus as their Lord and only Savior, repented of their sins and put their trust in Him, will become the children of God.

Mothers and Fathers, friends, are you purified? Do you want your sons and daughters to purify themselves? Then find out who you are as a child of God first, purify yourself by turning to Jesus, and help your children establish the same eternal relationship by discovering their identity in Him.

Prayer:
Lord, continue to show me who I am in Christ that I may encourage my children and even my family members and friends in their relationship with You. I pray to You, In Jesus Name, Amen.
